A short history of the Ultimate SmartLink Lure System: Ultimate
NiTi Technologies used its extensive
experience in product design and manufacturing
of shape memory alloy products, to create the Ultimate
SmartLink™ Lure System in 1999. Following focused
work perfecting the design and function, various rated SmartLinks
were put to the test by the International Game Fish Association
(IGFA), where release characteristics were proven consistent. Ultimate NiTi introduced the product, under the
name
Ultimate LureSaver, at ICAST
2001, where
it won Best of Category for Terminal Tackle in
the New
Product Showcase! Bill Dance and Jimmy Houston were the first
of many pro anglers to jump on this great
product! The NAFC (North American Fishing Club) d
Test Seal of Approval was granted following
extensive field testing by member anglers. SmartLink is a multi-function
tool for pros and amateur anglers alike! With expanded field
use, it became obvious that the LureSaver was more than just
a great lure saver! From quick hook changes, to easy blade
changes, to multiple uses for rigs, it proved to be one ‘Smart
Link’! To better reflect this, Ultimate decided to change
the product name to the Ultimate SmartLink™ Lure
System in 2005. The Ultimate SmartLink Lure System

fine tackle dealers.
